The contenders from Senegal, Afghanistan, Iran, Canada, Nigeria, Oman, the US, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Pakistan and Singapore showcased their Quranic talent and skills on Monday, the last day of the competition in this section.
The men’s section’s event in the categories of recitation and memorization continues on Tuesday.
The final stage of Iran’s 40th International Quran Competition was launched in Tehran on Thursday and will run through February 21.

A total 69 memorizers and reciters from 44 countries are competing in the finals in the main categories of Quran recitation (for men) and Quran memorization and Tarteel recitation (for men and women).
The annual event, organized by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, aims to promote the Quranic culture and values among Muslims and showcase the talents of Quran reciters and memorizers.
